$15.00

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), commonly known as acid reflux, is a disease of the digestive system that can lead to serious complications if not recognized, treated, and monitored.  GERD is a life-long disease once it occurs and so may be encountered by the nurse working in the long-term care setting.  This educational activity provides a knowledge base for nurses to be able to competently care for individuals who exhibit GERD.
