Introduction to Healthcare for New Nursing Assistants

Suada has obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida State College of Jacksonville. Suada has ten years of experience in medical field including working as a staff nurse in the long-term care facility serving the geriatric and rehab population. She currently holds a position in the
hospital on the Medical-Surgical specialties unit and supervises new nursing assistants. She also has experience as a clinical adjunct for the Certified
Assisted Nursing Program and is familiar with the role of the nursing assistant. 

At the completion of this educational activity, the learner will be able to:

1. List two (2) ways how OBRA relates to role of the nursing assistant
2. List six (6) components of the healthcare delivery system
3. List two (2) roles the nursing assistant can perform within healthcare

At the completion of this educational activity, the learner will demonstrate knowledge about the
role of a nursing assistant in long-term care by passing a quiz with a score of 85% or greater accuracy
