This educational activity introduces the goals of a restorative care program, and activities that may be provided by the restorative nursing staff with the outcome of improving the person’s quality of life, while helping them remain as independent as possible. The roles of various members of the health care team and specific techniques for assisting with range of motion exercises, walking, and transfers are presented.
