A key mission of all long-term care facilities is to provide a high quality of life (QAL) through the provision of quality care. To achieve this, it is important to create an inclusive environment that makes all who work and live there feel respected, valued, and included, regardless of race, culture, religion, gender, or medical diagnosis. The content in this course is based on Oregon’s Senate Bill 99. It provides an overview of rights of LGBTQIA2S+ residents or those with HIV/AIDS diagnosis living in long-term care.
